Mischief's mission
Mischief the cat had an important job he needed to do. He had a basket lined with cotton, with a cord tied around his neck. His job was to fill the basket with freshly picked raspberries. Mischief the cat was to dash through the thicket and gather them. As he was doing this, he noticed something unusual in the middle of the thicket. He ran toward the spot and found a little girl, who turned out to be a beautiful girl named Little Red Riding Hood. "Who are you?" asked Little Red Riding Hood. "I'm Mischief the cat, and I'm doing a very important job for our Emperor." "Do you mind if I help you?" asked Little Red Riding Hood. "Oh no, I'm not going to let you touch my basket!" Then Mischief ran off to the other end of the thicket and continued gathering raspberries. Mischief, in fact, was a spy for the Emperor, who was planning to overthrow the wicked King. Mischief had discovered that the King was allergic to raspberries which is why he was collecting them. Little Red Riding Hood returned to her grandmother's house. Meanwhile, Mischief finished gathering the raspberries and took them back to the Emperor. Mischief was completely loyal to the Emperor, and it was this loyalty that kept him alive. The Emperor told Mischief to make a raspberry smoothie and trick the wicked King into drinking it. The potion was already in the smoothie, but Mischief knew the King would never drink a smoothie if it came from a dead raspberry. Mischief had the clever idea of putting a label on the smoothie that said "Strawberry Smoothie". The wicked King drank the smoothie and died. The Emperor was very impressed with Mischief for carrying out his mission flawlessly. Mischief was given a few gifts and prizes by the Emperor including a powdered wig, a new pair of shoes, and a fake raspberry for a nose. The End
